Insurance endorsements allow you to make amendments or additions to an existing insurance policy. Endorsements can extend your personal property coverage, personal injury coverage and covered perils.
Endorsements let homeowners customize their coverage to better suit their needs. Here's how:
An Insurance endorsed product represents legal, binding modifications to the original insurance coverage you purchased. Your first policy could include normal damage, such as replacement of a roof during an explosion.
However, loss of expensive personal possessions – like jewelry and furniture – can be excluded. For more security, you can add endorsements.
Homeowner insurance endorsements provide a new level of homeowners insurance coverage as part of the existing coverage.
Homeowners insurance endorsement allows for customization if you have particular assets you want to protect, such as valuable personal belongings.
Insurance endorsements change the coverage of a particular insurance. You can request endorsements to increase your insurance rates, so ask your broker for more information.
A certificate of endorsement adds coverage for an additional party on your liability coverage. This includes any endorsements to the original homeowners insurance policy or other type of policy.
HOBIZ, or Home Business Insurance Coverage, is an optional endorsement for home businesses. Also referred to as a home business endorsement, this amendment allows broad liability and property coverage as part of an existing policy.
Life changes quickly. Having the right coverage and making appropriate changes to your insurance policy can make all the difference. Speak with your local homeowners insurance provider to learn more about endorsements you may need.
As a lifelong resident of Litchfield County, Heather is quite familiar with the beautiful Northwest Corner of Connecticut. In partnership with her husband at Turri, Inc., in Torrington, she managed and grew a 30+ employee electrical contracting firm that served both the residential, commercial and industrial industries. Currently residing in Goshen she hopes to transfer and utilize many of the skills she learned in contracting to the real estate industry.
Knowing how a vital community relies on its volunteers, Heather spent many hours in several capacities at local organizations that she admires. She serves on the Woodridge Lake Finance Committee and House Committee, Victoria Court Condominium Association (secretary) and Educating Canines Assisting with Disabilities (volunteer and nursery mom). Heather has also been involved with Goshen Community Care & Hospice (president of board of directors), Warner Theatre (board of directors), LARC (volunteer), Festival of Trees (founder), the Northwest Chamber of Commerce, and Goshen Business Circle. Heather also served as Vice President of Woodridge Lake’s Board of Directors.
In Heather’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with family usually in an active way by playing tennis, golf, boating, hiking and skiing.
Heather is honored to be a part of the E.J. Murphy team and hopes you will contact her with any of your real estate needs.
